Beef Stew(working title): creating playlists based on your favorite foods and ingredients.
Users mentioned that they found the app quick and user friendly. They were concerned with placement of the playlist icon and a sharing feature. User’s stressed that they would like to ability to share playlists they create. All and all good feed back and I feel ready to move on to the design aspect of development. During the design process I will focus on communicating with clean and simple iconography.

For my wire frame project I have wire framed a mobile application that essentially gives the user a list of food items that they will drop into an image of a pot. After selecting the food for the pot they will then be able to select play and a playlist will be generated for them that reflects the choices of food they have selected. After creating a play list they will have the option to save this playlist for future enjoyment.
This application is purely for entertainment purposes. All songs generated will be food themed or food related in the hopes of creating a fun and humorous feel.(I.E. if you drop a cheeseburger into the pot you may receive this song in your playlist) This app is not and will not be an app aimed at training people to cook. This app is a fun way to generated musical playlists that are associated with food.

Bloom is a generative music application for iOS created by Brian Eno and Peter Chilvers.The software plays a low drone, and touching the screen produces different tones, which play in a loop. If the screen is left untouched, the software will create its own music. Part instrument, part composition and part artwork, Bloom’s innovative controls allow anyone to create elaborate patterns and unique melodies by simply tapping the screen. A generative music player takes over when Bloom is left idle, creating an infinite selection of compositions and their accompanying visualizations. Eno and Chilvers have since released a related app named trope and another in 2012 named Scape.

I’ve created wire frames for my approved food app concept titled “Treats App”. Treats app lets people to create sweet treats for special occasions like Halloween, Valentines day, Christmas, St Patrick’s day and many other special days. Users will reach to a variety of recipes including cupcakes, whoopee pies, muffins, cookies, jello shots and many others by choosing the month they are in, through the calender provided. Home menu items will lead the user to a “recipe box”, an “ornament box” , a “shopping list” and a “calender”. Recipe box includes categorized sweets, such as cupcakes or chocolates. Ornament box button leads to a list of decoration tricks for your cooking, such as sugar melts, colored sprinkles, food colorings or cookie cutters. Shopping list option lets you to prepare your kitchen, and make a list of the missing items so that you won’t forget what to buy. treats app

Stepe: Playful Step by Step Food Recipe App for Really Real Beginners.
This App is really for people who just started cooking. People can choose a menu and get introduced to its ingredients and directions of cooking. The ingredients section provides in-depth information regarding the ingredients such as “2 cups diced chicken,” and “3 teaspoons peanut butter.” People like myself, who first started cooking, only had a vague idea of what diced meant and also was not fond of and comfortable with the measurements of a cup, teaspoon, tablespoon, etc. Simply put, this app is a recipe app for dummies. People like myself no longer need to google something when looking at the recipe directions. People can also use this app to keep track of what ingredients they have or bought through the ingredients tab. The App also provides focused step by step cooking instructions. It also provides a timer for the steps that require time measurement.
