Jody’s app design, prototype feedback for 8/1

Feedback from prototyping addressed in the design:

1. There was some confusion about what the app was about and what users should expect from it. I put in a splash view to introduce the app and provide clear expectations for the user.

2. The calendar view was originally a text list of fruits and vegetables. Joanna suggested that that it look more calendar-y as this is what people expect. I wasn’t able to make that work however I made thumbnail version of the in season view. Users will be able to scroll left or right to select the month and see what is in season during that time.

3. One user found it difficult to find the phone number on farm detail page. I created more white space around the contact information and made the name, address, phone number, hours and web address larger to improve the hierarchy. The phone number will link to call and the web address will route to the website.
