Kirsten Hively Week 01

I was born in Southern California and grew up in Anchorage, Alaska, but have lived in New York City long enough to visit most of the neon signs here. I have degrees in music and architecture, and in the past I’ve worked as an architect, a graphic designer, and a prospect researcher among other things, and currently work as a science research manager. Three things I learned from reading the iOS Human Interface Guidelines:
- You shouldn’t make people explicitly save files — they’ll better trust an app that saves files without asking. (Interesting!)
- Apple says you should always put cancel buttons to the left, and the button most likely to be chosen to the right. (Does everyone agree on this I wonder?)
- There’s a button style called Destructive.
Below are the app map and wireframes for my app, working name Food Mood. The audience is anyone who is hungry and indecisive, and this app will be a quick and fun (and slightly silly) way for them to choose something to eat: it will give a single food recommendation based on the answers to three simple questions (though any or even all of the questions can be skipped), and then offer links out to recipes and restaurants for the suggested food.
