Hello – My name is Emily. I work as a product designer at a small startup here in New York. I graduated from Clemson University with a degree in genetics in 2014. I like learning new things, designing, photography and exploring.
Things I didn’t know about the iOS HIG
- Every app should also provide a small icon that iOS can display when the app name matches a term in a Spotlight search.
- Alternative text labels aren’t visible onscreen, but they let VoiceOver audibly describe what’s onscreen, making navigation easier for people with visual impairments.
- For primary audio interruptions, such as playing music, podcasts, or audiobooks, your app should pause its audio indefinitely. For shorter interruptions, such as GPS directional notifications, your app should temporarily lower its audio volume or pause its audio and resume when the interruption ends.
App Concept
My app is designed for people who have a hard time coming up with what to eat/make at home. It will enable users to quickly view past things they’ve made based on how quick it is to make, their personal rating, notes, etc.
