Min Hong – 7/22 Assignment _ Draft
Hello, I’m Min and I’m a product designer as currently work as a lead product designer at a creative design agency/venture in Long Island City NY. I’ve been living and building my design career in New York since 2004. I always thought interaction(UX/UI) between users and product, in general, is a huge part of what I do, which I always have an interest in so I’m happy to be part of this class.
Some things I didn’t know from the iOS Human Interface Guidelines:
- I didn’t know about loading screens customizability that provides room to educate and entertain people to mask loading time. This can be one of the good ways to give unique character/identity to the brand through the navigation.
- Peek and Pop feature: On the thumbnail view of photos, I found it very convenient to Delete/Share/Copy the image by tap and hold one of the images and slide up.
- Coordinating status bar to the app was something I never paid attention to and it was good to know that.
App Concept
Behind the scene, a secret goal is to have them enjoy cooking own and share food/recipes with others and start to build confidence and comfort on making own food at home and have “Cook own food” become part of their daily thing.
(This app can be considered to be focused to Asian menu/recipe or even to Korean menu.)
