1. Momentum: I mentioned this during the first class when I had just tried it, but the more I use it, the more I love it. Very intuitive and simple UI — you can tap directly from the widget and it has a week display that you can click into for the month. Very visual with few distractions.
2. Instapaper: I’ve been using this to save articles. Once again, I love how minimal it is and makes it very easy to read articles in the same format. I’m not sure about some of the items in its hamburger menu, specifically Videos and Browse. I don’t think I’d use Instapaper to browse additional content when there are so many media platforms out there from which I’m saving content to read here.
3. Pocket Casts: Started using this a few weeks ago and really like it! I love the grid system to view all the podcast artwork — the only issue I have is that I’m listening to Serial, which came out ages ago, so when I download episodes they go into my Downloads view, but then I also have continuing podcasts (e.g. episodes from NYT Daily) that come into my ‘New Releases’. I’m not sure if I like having these separate, but I guess it makes sense since the New Releases haven’t been downloaded. Have to explore this a bit more.
