Victoria Wu – Assignment #1
1. I had no idea how many specifications for each button family was so complex. I.e: I thought all pulldown buttons were called the same thing. I found out through the HIG that the naming differs depending on what kind of options are available.
2. Because of the HIG, people expect each app to provide some sort of feedback from the interface. If no feedback is provided (such as a loading signal) then it will be easily misunderstood as a frozen screen. I realized that I subconsciously have relied on the loading feedback when using applications.
3. I learned the names for the different types of windows: document window, app window, panel, dialog, alert

Your wires posted at a pretty low quality, so it’s hard to really dig in.
Add items should be contextual to your inventory, not on the tab bar.
How can you highlight items that need to be donated, even if they’re newer? There’s probably a time when a thing is too near to expiration to be useful for donating.
How do you know where you are donating to? Could you be donating to multiple locations?
