Updated App Design
Based on the comments I got last class, I updated my design in a diagrammatic flow chart format.
The concept stays the same, but now the organizer is given more power in making the final decision. To recap, this app’s purpose is to help people make decisions without much conflict or hassle through process of elimination.
Basically, the idea is:
1. The organizer creates an invitation. (fills out date, time frame, purpose of meeting, people’s contact info)
2. Invitations get sent out to the invitees.
3. Invitees fill out where they will be before the time of the meetup, what time they are available, their mode of transportation.
4. Once all invitees fill out these basic information, their centerpoint is determined.
5. Recommendations are made (filtered) according to the time frame, purpose of meetup.
6. The Invitees each select their top three choices.
7. The top three choices information is sent to the organizer who will use the data to determine where they will meet and exactly what time.
8. Once confirmed, the final invitations are sent out to all invitees. People will also receive reminders on the day of the meetup.
9. Editing is possible. If people would like to meet at a different location, then an edited version of invitation can be sent out. (still need to think a bit more about this.)
Here’s my hand-sketched flowchart.
