3 things you didn’t know before reading the HIG
1. “Compact width.” I don’t know what this stand for I google it shows iOS size class.
2. “Make it easy for people to interact with content and controls by giving each interactive element ample spacing. Give tappable controls a hit target of about 44 x 44 points.” This is not complicated, but I didn’t the measurement. However, I think it is important to aware of.
3. “As much as possible, avoid displaying a splash screen or other startup experience.” It is a common mistake, I trend to make an app looks nice to add a splash screen, but turned it out making it more complicated.
4.”Avoid asking users to rate your app too soon.” I found this very useful, but not any people understood. Many times when I downloaded an app, it asked me to rate the app. I was annoying, sometimes quitted the app due to this reason.
