Nico Muhly, Jhumpa Lahiri

I used a Nico Muhly song in a public installation I did last year.  His new album, Mothertonuge, is beautiful.

Jhumpa Lahiri’s Unaccustomed Earth, which I just finished reading, is also beautiful.

  1. I read Interpreter of Maladies a few years ago by Jhumpa Lahiri. I found her book to be deeply sensitive and expressive and quite memorable. I recommended it to many friends along the way. Another book that parallels it in terms of depth and the human condition in other parts of the world is A Fine Balance by Rohinton Mistry. If you read it, let me know and we can exchange impressions.
