Hi!

Bio: I’m Nica! I actually graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management but eventually spent the last two years of my working life as a graphic designer (because I love it!!). I work with a lot of startups on their design needs, which are mostly traditional and on the marketing-design side. I’m currently on a career move to shifting towards UX design. 🙂

Things I didn’t know about the iOS Guidelines:

  • There’s a whole set of guidelines and importance for accessibility, 3D touch, and Data Entry! As someone with a more traditional graphic design background, this is a whole new different ballgame.
  • Highlight destructive actions! Wherever they may be located (action sheet, prompt, etc), make sure your destructive action buttons are prominent
  • Launch screens are important, but you shouldn’t overuse them; create something identical to the first view

App Concept: My app will allow people to book private dinners crafted and hosted by professional chefs around the metro.
