Hi! My name is Yiran. I am from China and have been living in Brooklyn for 5 years. I am an architectural designer graduated from Pratt Institute last year. I am going to study Product Design for the master degree next year. I like making things (the speech bubble on my head is a hair clip made of felt.)

Things I didn’t know from Andriod Design Guidelines:
1. Navigation should not open a menu or other pop-ups.
2. Difference between “Seams” and “Steps”
3. Different types and functions of transition animation, what is the reasonable amount and length of the animation.
4. Terms: dp vs sp.

Concept:
Sometimes you cooked a big meal more than they can eat; Sometimes you just felt too boring to eat alone; Sometimes you wanted to invite friends to prepare a holiday dinner together; Sometimes you discovered a great recipe and you have to show it off to your friends…
This App allows users to posts their ideas/plans about upcoming meals/parties, or browse through their friend’s post to see if anyone is going to cook the dish they want to eat. Users can search for certain dishes, certain person’s posts, certain areas, etc. They can also use the filter to categorize posts by date/time, food type, party sizes, etc. After finding the ideal dining plan, users can be directed to other Apps to discuss more details or reserve a seat, etc.
