We spoke about this in class, the main thing that you need to focus on is your app flow. How can things feel less linear and more experiential? How can it be easier to edit or tweak what you’ve done? At very least, the initial search and later searches should be done with the same interface versus multiple interfaces.
What does genre mean under the filter options?
No need to include a app icon/logo/name in the app views, as your user will have tapped on your app icon/name to get into the app.
You’re currently using the side bar/hamburger menu, which seems unnecessary. It’d be clearer just to use a tab bar.
Taking notes does seem like a nice feature. On that screen, no need to have a ‘save’ button; just whatever has been entered should always be there. Having a separate section for notes instead of in each recipe seems a little odd. Maybe the ‘favorites’ view allows you to filter by things with notes? Or maybe everything that you make a note on is available there, but is just another filter of information versus a separate view.
While lower priority to explore than the main searching flow, your recipe page is pretty sparse right now. What is all the info that you’d need on there? How can you arrange it to be the most useful for your user?
I’m not sure that ratings should be included. At very least, make that the lowest priority thing to explore.
