Monday Play: Tune Wiki

This week I used a music app called Tune Wiki. It’s available on all mobile platforms. TuneWiki is a music-centered app that provides scrolling lyrics through its social music player. Apparently it has over 6 million lyrics built into the app which I found interesting.  Furthermore, the mobile TuneWiki applications also provide lyrics for streaming radio on mobile phones, and TuneWiki has location-based technology to let users see where their favorite music is being played around the world. Users follow other users to discover music and have conversations around the music they listen to. I found it particular interesting seeing the different demographics of music listeners through out various sections of NYC on the Tune Wiki map.

Assignment for May 6

  • Prepare a set of designs for your app. You should completely cover either all the major screens on phone or on tablet. Feel free and do both if you have time. Post these to the blog.
  • Keep posting apps that you’ve checked out to the blog. You need at least one #mondayplay in this second half of the semester.
  • As a reminder, please use the ‘students assignments’ category, not the ‘assignments’ one
