It’d be very helpful if you’d label your wireframes with the same number and names that you use in your app map.
The core idea that you have is interesting, but I think refining a little to make sure that you’re accomplishing your user’s goals would be helpful. Think through the process of planning an itinerary for a trip. Generally when you’re going on a trip, you go somewhere for more than one day. How do you imagine adding multiple days?
Why are you showing current position on the map when you open up the app? Is that for a person after they’ve arrived somewhere and they’re on an active trip. It would be good to think through how the app can be useful when you’re carrying out the plan that you’ve already made.
Does the date someone is going really matter? Are you going to suggest events based on the date?
Are you imaging that all the content would be editorially created?
You’re making some interface choices very influenced by NYC geography. Do imagine supporting other places? If so, it might be useful to think through the same view with those places in mind. For example a city where you’d need to drive or even another urban location that might not have 5 boroughs broken up into neighborhoods.
Once a users starts building their plan, how can you help them to make good choices? One thing that people coming to visit always don’t take into account for NYC is how long it takes to get between things. How can you make sure that a plan is reasonable? Or opposite, how can you suggest other cool things that will fit in a day on an existing path?
