Don’t forget that we’re hosting the other Mobile Media class. We’ll be critiquing their work this week.

Reminder: no class this week!
Úll has been great! See you next week when we host the other mobile media section.
If you want to read about úll check out #ullconf on twitter or this article from the Irish Times.
For April 24
We’ll be presenting our projects to the other Mobile Media section. Look at this as a dry run for your final presentation. Iterate in your designs from last week. You’ll have around 10 minutes from presentauon and feedback
Hamburger menu article
Here’s the article I was mentioning in class:
UX designers: Side drawer navigation could be costing you half your user engagement
For April 17
- Post either a link to your digital prototype or documentation from a paper prototype
- Post 3-5 things that you learned from prototyping
- Take what you’ve learned from wireframes and prototyping and make a design for you app to present. Post this to the blog as well.
- Get in as many #thursdayplays as you can this week. There is another section of mobile media, and the one with more #thursdayplays will get to present to the other class 2 weeks later! We currently have 26 and the other class has 25, so get those posts in!
- Also remember, you need at least one #thursdayplay for the second half of the semester anyways.
Agile/Scrum talk
For April 10
- Iterate on your wireframe
- Prepare a paper or digital prototype for in class testing. Remember to have one or more tasks to ask people to perform.
- Each group will also sit down with me to look at their current wireframe and prototype as well
For April 4
Present an app map and a wireframe for your chosen final project.
If you’d like any additional feedback on your concept, feel free to write me.
Your app map is important. Please plan on showing it completely during your presentation. Every screen in the app and all connections between all the screen should be represented.
Keep your wireframes lo-fi. Don’t add any design at this point, but concentrate just on interaction. Feel free and use omnigraffle or even hand sketches.
Lectures from this week
For Next Week, Mar 20
Working in the group of two or three that we found established last week pitch two or three concepts for your second, and final project. In your pitch, describe who you’re making this app for and what you’re going to do for them.
The topic of this app can be anything you want, and you can make this app for the phone or a tablet. Just define those things upfront.
